&bnsp; Chris rampaged on. "You know, you've got a real talent for butting in...prying into my feelings." He didn't even look at her.
&bnsp;Kathrin's eyes narrowed. "Well then, seeing as you've reacted so strongly, then there must be something you're trying to hide."
&bnsp;"That's uncalled for."
&bnsp;She shook her head slightly and glanced up at him. "You're a really sensitive guy, did you know that?"
&bnsp;Chris halted and looked directly at Kathrin. "Why don't you mind your own business?"
&bnsp;Kathrin stopped to answer him. "As long as we're together, you are my business. Don't be flattered. Same goes with anybody, not just you."
&bnsp;"Tell me, are you really a spy, or just a frustrated psychologist?" At the completion of his smug comment, he recommenced the hike back to his house.
&bnsp;"Can I still have a ride back to New York?" she called after him.
